The Yamaha HS7 Active Reference Monitor is modelled on the industry standard NS10 studio monitor, seen in professional recording studios worldwide. Ever since the 1970’s the iconic white woofer and signature sound of Yamaha’s nearfield reference monitors have become a genuine industry standard for a reason – their accuracy.

Unlike studio monitors with added bass or treble frequencies which may sound more
flattering at first, HS Series speakers were designed to give you the most honest, precise reference possible, providing an ideal sonic platform to build on throughout the mixing process. This flat response loudspeaker does not boost the bass or treble, therefore if you can get your mix to sound good on the HS7 it will translate perfectly to any other speaker system.

With 2 built in amplifiers, 60 watts for the low-mid and 35 watts for the high frequency, this creates an accurate and smooth representation of the sounds you are making.

The Room Control and High Trim Response controls on the unit help to compensate if the the monitor is placed near walls or to compensate for room acoustics, ensuring in any home or studio set up, this an honest and accurate representation of your mix.
